A Two Night short Break Once again we had a very enjoyable stay at the Down inn for two nights we had a very warm welcome this is the second time we have visited the room was very clean comfortable and spacious the food is delicious with plenty of choice and the property is in lovely surroundings overlooking the countryside fantastic teamwork thank you for a lovely stay would recommend 💯 percent

The Down Inn The Down Inn - this restaurant was good. We entered and we were told that the carvery is every day. (I was glad it was). We went into the carvery room and the chef served me pork. An excellent place for quality food After being recommended and told how good the Down Inn was, we thought we would go and have Sunday lunch. Well, let's just say we weren't disappointed, and we will definitely be going back again in the near future. The service, the quality of food and the hospitality were all very good. Excellent We were here on Saturday the 21st I had organised a surprise 60th Party for my partner. Nikki was so helpful and attentive with all my questions and I cant thank her enough . The food on the evening was unbelievable fabulous quality and was enjoyed by everyone we had such a fabulous evening . We also stayed overnight in a lovely room with a comfortable bed and waking up to a fabulous English breakfast which was piping hot . I want to thank Steve and his wonderful staff for all their hard work you should all be so proud of yourselves. Thank you again x

Very nice weekend We had a very good visit and service at the down inn I personally have eaten in many good restaurants in the past and found the down’s carvery one of the best I have had in a long time breakfast was very good to highly recommend thanks for a good relaxing visit

Terrific restaurant with rooms Wow is all we can say. We stayed for one night and had a fabulous time. From the moment we got there until we left we couldn’t fault it. The staff were fantastic and when we weren’t sure as to which bottle of wine we wanted with dinner the lovely barmaid asked if we would like to try a little taste. What a nice suggestion. The food was amazing. Hubby had 10oz sirloin and I had the crispy pork in an amazing sauce. You will not go far wrong if you order this. The pork was very soft and succulent and the topping was as crispy as anything I have ever tasted. Both meals were amazing and the starters were amazing. I had the mushrooms and hubby had the prawns which we split between the 2 of us. The room was really lovely, extremely roomy with lots of wardrobe and drawer space. You have got to pay a visit to this place, whether it’s just for a meal (oh and forgot to say about their carvery) one of the best we have ever been to.
