Really great place to stay We have been to the Down Inn three times now and it is a first rate hotel. Lovely big bedroom with spacious bathroom both scrupulously clean. Well-stocked beverages and biscuits. Excellent food including a regular carvery with a good choice of vegetables and some really interesting specials. Good variety of breakfast choices. Staff were all friendly and helpful. All this at a reasonable price.

Lovely old pub and great food This is a lovely country pub with friendly staff and we had a lovely spacious room. We were going to wedding so didn’t eat there in the evening although the food looked great.

The absolute jewel in the crown was the magnificent breakfast. Cereals, fruit yogurt etc and then a cooked breakfast made to order. All included in the room price which was excellent value.

Very nice weekend We had a very good visit and service at the down inn I personally have eaten in many good restaurants in the past and found the down’s carvery one of the best I have had in a long time breakfast was very good to highly recommend thanks for a good relaxing visit

Comfortable and Very Reasonably Priced Lovely large room with all the facilities you would expect. Comfortable bed and lots of storage space with easy access to th elarge car parking area. Breakfast was from a buffet which was well stocked and from which you can happliy eat your fill

A hidden gem As we were at a wedding the following day we decided to find somewhere close overnight, this place had good ratings so decided to give it a try - so glad we did.

Lovely friendly staff, the lady at breakfast deserves a special mention as she was so lovely and helpful but all the staff we met were friendly.

The breakfast was amazing, freshly cooked and tasty ingredients I had the bacon eggs Benedict and hubby had the full breakfast- large portions he couldn’t even manage it all but very tasty.

The room was spacious and clean, mattress & pillows etc very comfy. Plenty of car parking too.

I can definitely recommend and if we need to revisit the area this will be our go to place. More

Terrific restaurant with rooms Wow is all we can say. We stayed for one night and had a fabulous time. From the moment we got there until we left we couldn’t fault it. The staff were fantastic and when we weren’t sure as to which bottle of wine we wanted with dinner the lovely barmaid asked if we would like to try a little taste. What a nice suggestion. The food was amazing. Hubby had 10oz sirloin and I had the crispy pork in an amazing sauce. You will not go far wrong if you order this. The pork was very soft and succulent and the topping was as crispy as anything I have ever tasted. Both meals were amazing and the starters were amazing. I had the mushrooms and hubby had the prawns which we split between the 2 of us. The room was really lovely, extremely roomy with lots of wardrobe and drawer space. You have got to pay a visit to this place, whether it’s just for a meal (oh and forgot to say about their carvery) one of the best we have ever been to. Don’t take our word for it but we will definitely be back again and again. Please give it a try as you certainly won’t regret it. More

Great over night stay Myself, husband and granddaughter stayed for 1 night,after going on the steam train at the Severn valley railway at Bridgnorth. The room that we stayed in was a good size, the double bed was comfortable and the bed for our granddaughter was comfortable as well. Couldn’t fault the food in the evening and the breakfast was great as well. So when ever visiting Bridgnorth again and need to stop overnight, we’ll make sure that we stay here

Couldn't Be Faulted Lovely large ensuite room with bath and all scrupulously clean. Large choice of meals: well cooked and good quality and a great carvery. Staff very friendly and helpful and all at a reasonable price. This is the second time we've been to the Down Inn and it was even better than before (if that was possible).

Nice weekend away We went for a weekend away in Ludlow and for a Concert at The Castle. We arrived quite late but surprisingly they were ready for our arrival at midnight! Rooms very roomy and comfortable. Bed perfect. Shower very practical and relaxing. Breakfast was perfect. AImg full English our compliments to The Chef. This is beautiful little gem in the outskirts of Ludlow and we want to go back soon !
