as nice as ever at the down inn we had a 5 nite stay at the down in again we been quite a few times now .steave and his team are very helpful friendly as always .rooms very nice we had easy access room down stairs .the food was very nice lots options breakfast same lots of choices plus you can ask for something else if can do they will do it for you .if you looking for nice place in the country side the down inn is the place.wont be long before we book again

A Two Night short Break Once again we had a very enjoyable stay at the Down inn for two nights we had a very warm welcome this is the second time we have visited the room was very clean comfortable and spacious the food is delicious with plenty of choice and the property is in lovely surroundings overlooking the countryside fantastic teamwork thank you for a lovely stay would recommend 💯 percent

Carvery The carvery was amazing …plenty to choose from . Meat was lovely,vegetables hot and loads of gravy . Very impressed with everything. The restaurant was full which was clearly a good sign of what was to expect.

Lovely Amazing lunch with my daughter on 27th Feb. Both my daughter and I cleared our plates. Staff were very friendly. Would recommend to anyone in the local area.

Ok Bed and breakfast very good but was disappointed with restaurant orders steak and kidney pie no kidney and had to go to carvery to get vegetables been standing a long time

The Down Inn The Down Inn - this restaurant was good. We entered and we were told that the carvery is every day. (I was glad it was). We went into the carvery room and the chef served me pork. On the other side, there was all the vegetables and gravy etc. When I first tasted the pork, it was slightly cold but with a dash of hot gravy and it was perfect. The carrots were nice, lovely. Overall, it was good. The restaurant was cosy and clean. The service was decent.

An excellent place for quality food After being recommended and told how good the Down Inn was, we thought we would go and have Sunday lunch. Well, let's just say we weren't disappointed, and we will definitely be going back again in the near future. The service, the quality of food and the hospitality were all very good. And, thank you everyone for making our visit most enjoyable.

Perfect overnight stay Great stay. Bed was comfortable and pillows very good. I am fussy about this!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Dinner was equally good. Highly recommend staying here.

Excellent food and service Last minute booking but they were able to accommodate us. Nice variety of starters, main course and desserts. We both enjoyed our starters and my husband had the cod mornay whilst I had a carvery. Excellent. Really cannot fault the quality of the food and the service. Well done everyone 👏👏👏

Nice fresh meals all round We have visited this place a number of times to meet up with family, and it’s always absolutely lovely, can’t say anything at all to fault the food, it’s all very nice and freshly cooked, we all had something different and no complaints at all, the pudding are equally delicious. And just to add staff are all very professional and patient, thanks for a lovely visit.

Great Sunday carvery Great carvery - busy place. Must contradict recent reviews moaning about tepid food and the staff. Our Sunday lunches from the carvery were hot, the roasties crispy, the gravy perfect. The staff work hard because this place is busy, busy on a Sunday. If you're looking for good honest food in down to earth surroundings then try it. We booked for 1230 and within the hour the entire car park was full. That's the best recommendation.

AMAZING CARVERY & VEGETARIAN SELECTION Warm friendly greeting on arrival Bar service good Friendly waitress with a sense of humor ( she could have been the landlady) Ordered 2 Carvey meals with meat and 2 Mushroom Wellington with carvery vegetables. Were told when the Wellingtons were ready at carvery Massive selection of hot tasty vegetables, crispy parsnips and crispy roast potatoes which so many places get wrong but these were just perfect. The Wellingtons came out on massive plates I asked for a Yorkshire with my Wellington meal and to my surprise the young chef who was very pleasant actually said " let me get you one that has not been sitting on the meat" what a change from other places, I thought was very thoughtful, The waitress had taken vegetarian gravy to the table Meat carvery plates were also well loaded Masses of food The desserts were amazing and cheap I have to I am well able to complain when things are not right, but this was just perfect Look forward to a return visit

Excellent We were here on Saturday the 21st I had organised a surprise 60th Party for my partner. Nikki was so helpful and attentive with all my questions and I cant thank her enough . The food on the evening was unbelievable fabulous quality and was enjoyed by everyone we had such a fabulous evening . We also stayed overnight in a lovely room with a comfortable bed and waking up to a fabulous English breakfast which was piping hot . I want to thank Steve and his wonderful staff for all their hard work you should all be so proud of yourselves. Thank you again x

Value for money Fantastic carvery for Sunday lunch. Always a pleasure eating here - great value for money for the family with excellent food and service from Steve and the team. Easily the best carvery around.

Fantastic service I always stay at The Down Inn whenever I'm in the Bridgnorth area on business. They really know how to look after you and their rooms and food are exceptional. Trust me that the manager (Steve) will take good care of all of your needs. What more can I say other than that "BRAVO Down Inn". I cannot wait for my next visit.

Fabulous Meal Just had an absolutely delicious meal. I've been craving a carvery all week, so we decided to come for Sunday lunch, and we were not disappointed. The meats were all perfectly cooked, a good choice of vegetables, and all piping hot and very tasty. My husband also had a starter which he said were probably the best garlic mushrooms he's ever had. Even though we didn't need more food we couldn't resist the desserts and they were so good I couldn't leave my cheesecake alone even when I was fit to burst! Been a long time since we were last here, but it won't be long before we're back.

Really great place to stay We have been to the Down Inn three times now and it is a first rate hotel. Lovely big bedroom with spacious bathroom both scrupulously clean. Well-stocked beverages and biscuits. Excellent food including a regular carvery with a good choice of vegetables and some really interesting specials. Good variety of breakfast choices. Staff were all friendly and helpful. All this at a reasonable price.

I WANT THIS TO BE MY SECRET PLACE BUT…..,,,, I cannot remember when I last went for lunch and was so blown away like today - the staff are really awesome and the food is exceptional- we asked for something not on the menu (a ploughman’s) it was phenomenal… the variety and quality was beyond words. I want to thank Steve, the head chef (whose name I didn’t get - sorry) and the exceptional bar and waiting staff. You made my pre-60 and my friends post-60 fabulous xxx
